Hello! Thank you for stopping by JenyPenny. I started this blog WAY BACK in 2002! Hard to believe I have been at it under that name for so long. I've had many stops and starts, but at the core my desire to share remains the same.
I am usually the person that my friends and family come to for advice or information about various topics. As my Mom says I seem to know a little something about everything. I'm no expert, but I like to research, read and experience all kinds of stuff for myself. Blah, blah, blah...so a blog is where I can share with you!
I've had a 15 year career in technology as System Engineer/IT Manager. I still dabble with IT as I help clients with application and strategic planning needs, but I stopped working full time after my son was born.
I went back to school in 2010 to obtain a degree in Graphic Design. It was seriously the best experience ever! I had long dreamed of attending art school and it was just as amazing as I hoped. I earned my Commercial Graphic Arts Degree in 2011 (Magna Cum Laude!) I've be so lucky to work with many local and national businesses designing logos, working on branding and creating blog/websites. I absolutely dig logo design. Creative problem solving...YES PLEASE!!
I am and have been my WHOLE life MOST passionate about my art. My dream is to be an ARTIST. An actual artist who makes a living selling and producing art. Pattern and surface design are where it's at for me.
